Job Summary/Basic Function:
Reporting to the CIO, the IT Programmer Analyst will analyze, design, code, document and implement applications that support and enhance the University's Oracle-based administrative system, Banner by Ellucian.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop scripts, programs and applications using Java and/or Oracle tools such as PL/SQL and SQL*Plus, to meet the needs of users in support of the University's mission.
- Analyze system functions; lead or facilitate development of programming specifications.
- Provide reporting, data extraction, general processing, and analytical support to departments.
- Be able to, with guidance, self-manage workload prioritizations while maintaining positive momentum across multiple tasks/assignments.
- May serve as a project leader or be assigned to the more complex projects.
- Setup, configure, and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, ensuring seamless and secure authentication for faculty, staff, and students across multiple platforms.
- Manage, deploy, and integrate cloud-based applications and services.
- Develop and maintain documentation as required.
- Assist Database administrator in maintenance of related systems.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Superior verbal and written skills, encompassing complete understanding of the English Language.
Preferred Qualifications:
Six years’ experience with hands-on applications development and relational database experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle databases, Linux and Windows environments.
Experience with one or more of the following languages, frameworks, technologies: Java/JavaScript, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, Git, ProC, Argos, Perl, XML.
Experience with Ellucian Banner Systems.
