Job Summary/Basic Function:

Lake Superior State University is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as adjunct faculty members in our Prison Education program. As an adjunct instructor, you will have the unique opportunity to empower incarcerated individuals through transformative learning experiences. We welcome applications from enthusiastic educators with a commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments. Courses span a wide range of disciplines, but focus on Business, English, Math, & Communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters Degree in respective discipline and evidence of experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

ABD or doctorate in discipline with 3 or more years of experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
Experience teaching incarcerated individuals.

Physical Demands:

Typical demands of teaching for the university level exist, with the ability to stand up to 4 hours in a single class sessions. The ability to manage the physical demands of credits per semester.

Lake Superior State University Athletics is seeking dependable and enthusiastic students to join the Game Day Operations Team. These essential roles support the execution of home athletic events for Laker Hockey, Volleyball, and Men’s and Women’s Basketball, ensuring a professional and entertaining experience for student-athletes, fans, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Students may be assigned one or more of the following roles depending on availability, experience, and interest: 1. Scoreboard & Time Clock Operator Operate the game clock, scoreboard, shot clock, and penalty timers using official systems, Work closely with officials and scorekeepers to ensure accurate timing and display, Maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the game. 2. Technical Assistant Assist with technical aspects including lighting, jumbotron operation and sound support 5. On-Ice / On-Court Support Set up and tear down game equipment (e.g., nets, scorer’s tables, signage, warm-up areas). Center for Freshwater Research and Education
This position will assist the CFRE leadership team with various administrative tasks and facility management. This position will also assist in driving the CFRE shuttle. Scorekeeper for all ACHA D2 men's and ACHA DI women's hockey games played at Lake Superior State University. Some exceptions may apply to off campus games played at the Big Bear Arena or Pullar Stadium. Position requires availability most weekends throughout the hockey season.
