Title: Business Adjunct Instructor - Prison Education Program

Job Summary/Basic Function:
Lake Superior State University is seeking a dedicated individual to teach BUSN121 – Introduction to Business as part of our Prison Education Program. The course will be offered at the Chippewa Correctional Facility during the upcoming fall semester that begins in August 2024.
As an adjunct instructor, you will have the unique opportunity to empower incarcerated individuals through transformative learning experiences. We welcome applications from enthusiastic educators with a commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters Degree in business or closely related field.
Evidence of experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
ABD or Ph.D. in business with 3 or more years of experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
Experience teaching incarcerated individuals.
Physical Demands:
Typical demands of teaching at the university level exist, with the ability to stand up to 4 hours in a single class sessions. The ability to manage the physical demands of 3 credits per semester.
