Title: Scorekeeper - ACHA WD1 & MD2

Job Summary/Basic Function:

Scorekeeper for all ACHA D2 men's and ACHA DI women's hockey games played at Lake Superior State University. Some exceptions may apply to off campus games played at the Big Bear Arena or Pullar Stadium. Position requires availability most weekends throughout the hockey season.

Scorekeeper will be responsible for clock operation during pre-game and in-game operations. Scorekeeper must arrive 45 minutes prior to posted game time to set up the clock for pre-game operations. Scorekeeper will be required to effectively communicate with the game day refs. Scorekeeper will be required to appropriately fill out an ACHA game sheet as directed by the ACHA coaches. Scorekeeper must be able to operate in-house audio to provide announcing during the game. Announcing will include but not limited to penalties, goals, pre-game announcements, in-game announcements and sponsors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Scorekeeper must have previous experience in working high level hockey games. The ability to communicate effectively with coaches and referees. The ability to comfortably and effectively communicate via a public address system regularly during an ACHA games.

Physical Demands:

Scorekeeper must be able to comfortably sit for long periods of time. As well as being able to quickly move about the scorekeeper box to open and close the penalty box doors when needed.

Varies per home hockey games
