An Admissions Representative’s primary responsibilities are cultivating prospects, inquiries, and applicants into enrolled students at Lake Superior State University (LSSU). All Admissions Representatives are assigned a territory that includes high schools, career and technical education centers, community colleges, as well as potential transfer students enrolled at other four-year institutions. The Admissions Representative serves as LSSU’s primary liaison for all students, families, high school counselors, teachers, as well as all postsecondary educators and administrators within the assigned territory. Additionally, all Admissions Representatives support all Admissions and Enrollment Services activities, including, but not limited to: events, orientations, open houses, campus visits, and community outreach. The nature of the position occasionally requires evening and weekend responsibilities and commitments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Admissions Representative’s primary work location is in the Admissions Office on the LSSU campus in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, supporting broad-based enrollment initiatives. The role also requires regular territory travel to represent LSSU at community events, college fairs, conferences, competitions, and at educational institutions, all utilizing university-provided transportation. Travel is most intense during the months of September through November and February through April but does occur throughout the year.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree
· High level of computer literacy
· Exceptional organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in a higher-education environment
· Experience with public presentation
· Knowledge of student information systems
· Knowledge of customer relationship management systems
· High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
Physical Demands:
Adequate physical fitness to maintain long hours (sometimes) and busy schedule (always)
-Use of gross motor skills to perform supervisory and organizational duties
-Use of fine motor skills in operation of keyboard equipment

-Ability to understand and work with numbers and data
-Ability to see, hear, and speak with or without the use of aids to perform normal office tasks

Work Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Occasional evening and/or weekend work required.
